PRF002 - Danny Scrilla will be out on April 27th 2018 on 12” vinyl (180g) with a full artwork sleeve. It will also be available through all good digital channels.

“Mirrors” combines Danny Scrilla’s signature sound and vocals by Alis into a beautiful piece of music that soothes on headphones, yet smashes the dance.

“Can Of Worms”, eagerly anticipated by DJs across the bass music spectrum, is a heavy roller with a disturbing synth lead, powerful drums and spaced out synth work.

The last tune on the EP, “Wipeout”, is Scrilla’s take on the recent halftime D&B spinoff known to some only as beats. The hoovery bassline in this one will surely please the old school heads as well.

PRF002 reflects the Perfect Records ethos: perfectly imperfect chest-rattling electronic music, at any tempo, firmly rooted in the past while embracing the future.

This album was another one of the truly important moments on Om Unit's path as an artist. He's way transcended being the turntablist master from his 2Tall days, the footwork jungle edit sensation that his Philip D Kick moniker is or other junglistic pigeonholing his Om Unit might have been subjected to. Wow. WHAT a release! So hard to pick a favourite, as they are all so forward-thinking and progressive: "Shackup" is a gorgeous shower of beat programming and slicing, subtly weaving in those distinctive bongos from the "Apache" break. But then "Sleeping Dragon" is a thick wave of dub pressure, like a dreamscape journey into another dimension. The half-time vibes are strong on this one, echoing the dubstep/dub techno days of early Scuba in all the best ways. Purchase on sight! Daniel aka circa96
